Barista

Responsible for making quality beverages such as hot and cold drinks, smoothies, preparing food orders and making sure to form a good customer relationship.

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers
• Prepare and serve drinks such as smoothies, juices, tea and coffee that meet quality standards
• Properly handle and maintain all Baristas equipment
• Grinding coffee beans
• Calibrating the coffee machine when necessary
• Responds to orders, questions, concerns and complaints in a polite and efficient manner
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all the menu offerings
• Observe relevant health and safety standards
• Passing food from the kitchen to the servers
• Cleaning the drinks and work area, coffee machines and equipment
• Managing the Point of Sale (POS)
• Collecting payments by accepting cash, check, or charge payments from customers; making change for cash customers, verifying credit acceptance
• Representing the company ethos and vision at all times
• Maintaining clean and tidy checkout areas.
