Barista Cashier

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks with precision and flair
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions efficiently and accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food handling and food safety standards
• Engage with customers warmly, providing excellent customer service and addressing their needs promptly
• Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy, including cashiering and basic math calculations
• Assist in food preparation and serving snacks or light food items as needed
• Follow all food safety protocols and health regulations to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests

Skills

• Proven experience as a Barista or in the food service industry, with strong coffee-making skills
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for smooth transaction processing
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and positively
• Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently without sacrificing quality
• Knowledge of food handling, food safety standards, and basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team in a lively café setting
• Previous experience in retail math, cash handling, serving, or food preparation is highly desirable
