Duties

• Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using Toast POS
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, and specialty beverages with precision and care.
• Operate cash registers efficiently, handling cash, credit card transactions, and POS operations seamlessly.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in the café area, including food handling and preparation.
• Assist with food service tasks such as food presentation, serving baked goods or snacks, and restocking supplies.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and minimize wait times.
• Engage with customers to promote sales, answer questions about menu items, and foster a friendly atmosphere.

Skills

• Proven experience as a barista with strong coffee-making skills and knowledge of beverage recipes.
• Previous cashiering experience using POS systems like Toast or Square is highly desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively.
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume periods.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, proper food handling, and food preparation procedures.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. This role is perfect for motivated individuals who thrive on delivering excellent service in a lively café setting!

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
