Barista / Cashier

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
• Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and process payments confidently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
• Handle cash and card transactions responsibly, ensuring accurate cash handling and retail math calculations
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, offering product recommendations, and resolving issues promptly
• Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and compliance
• Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when needed to support efficient service

Requirements

• Previous barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is highly preferred
• Experience with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
• Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, sales transactions, and retail math calculations
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Effective communication skills to engage with customers and team members effectively
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work in a fast-paced environment
