Job Overview

Part-Time and Full-Time Baristas Wanted – Clock Tower Coffee & Bakery! Also hiring 1 Kitchen Crew member! An established, busy independent coffee shop is looking to add 2–3 reliable, high-energy part-time and full- time baristas to our team immediately!

The Shifts We Need:

• Opening/morning shifts (6:30 AM – 1:30 PM) to help conquer our morning rush.
• Closing Shifts: (8:00AM - 4:30PM)
• Cafe hours are 7am - 4:30pm. - We may be extending hours soon until 7:30 which would give more hours to employees.

• Punctual, reliable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior barista, cash handling, or quick-service food experience is required. We are a fast paced local cafe and are consistently busy. You will be trained on the floor but previous experience in a related environment is required.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and take their food and beverage orders with enthusiasm and accuracy
• Prepare a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and light food items following established recipes and safety standards
• Operate Square POS system to process sales swiftly and accurately
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties with precision using retail math skills
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation zones and serving stations
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures at all times
• Assist in stocking supplies, managing inventory levels, and rotating stock to ensure freshness and quality

Requirements

• Prior experience as a barista or in food service environments with a focus on coffee preparation. The current team will also train you.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS or Square POS is highly desirable
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
• Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently without sacrificing quality
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and order calculations
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift moderate weights, and perform physical tasks involved in café operations
• Previous experience in the food industry
