We’re Hiring! Experienced Barista

We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about coffee, enjoys working with people, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements: Proven experience as a Barista Creativity and attention to detail Ability to manage time and work independently Knowledge of food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso beverages, teas, and other drinks.
  • Provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Accurately take orders and process payments.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the bar, equipment, and seating areas.
  • Follow all food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Restock supplies such as coffee beans, milk, pastries, and other items.
  • Learn the café menu and make recommendations to customers.
  • Work efficiently during busy hours and support team members as needed.
  • Prepare espresso and filter coffee using advanced brewing methods (e.g., V60, Kalita, AeroPress, batch brew calibration)

Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a specialty coffee environment
  • Strong understanding of extraction, brew ratios, and sensory evaluation
  • Proficiency with professional equipment such as La Marzocco, Synesso, Slayers, and top-tier grinders
  • Ability to perform consistent latte art (heart, tulip, rosetta)
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and maintain composure during high-volume periods
  • Passion for specialty coffee, sustainability, and continuous learning
  • Basic knowledge of food-safety practices and café workflow
  • Dial in espresso daily, adjusting grind size, dose, and yield to maintain flavor consistency
  • Maintain deep knowledge of coffee origins, processing methods, roast profiles, and tasting notes
  • Engage customers with thoughtful, approachable coffee education and menu guidance
  • Conduct routine cuppings to evaluate quality and stay familiar with café offerings
  • Prepare and manage alternative beverages (signature drinks, seasonal menus, milk alternatives)
  • Monitor equipment performance; perform routine maintenance and report issues (grinders, espresso machines, boilers)
  • Maintain strict cleanliness and workflow organization at the bar
  • Follow specialty café service standards, including workflow efficiency and latte art proficiency
  • Assist in quality control tasks, including batch brew calibration and inventory of coffee and café supplies
  • Support training of new baristas in coffee theory, brewing methods, and customer service
  • Contribute to a positive team culture and uphold the café’s brand values
