Position Summary:

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, beverages, and light food items while delivering excellent customer service. The role ensures consistency in drink preparation, maintains cleanliness of the workstation, and supports overall café operations.

• Prepare high-quality specialty coffee beverages, including espresso-based drinks, pour-over, cold brew, and signature drinks.
• Perform latte art with consistency and maintain high presentation standards for all beverages.
• Calibrate coffee grinders, monitor extraction times, and ensure proper brewing techniques.
• Maintain strong knowledge of coffee beans, origins, roasting profiles, and flavor notes.
• Provide excellent customer service, taking orders accurately and making product recommendations.
• Maintain cleanliness of the barista station, coffee machines, tools, and serving areas.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Manage inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and barista supplies; report shortages when needed.
• Operate POS system for billing, cash handling, and order processing.
• Work effectively with the service and kitchen teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Train or support new staff on beverage preparation and café standards (if required).
• Handle customer feedback professionally and ensure a positive guest experience.
• Continuously stay updated with new coffee trends, brewing methods, and beverage innovations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Barista in a café or restaurant.
• Knowledge of coffee types, brewing techniques, and latte art (preferred).
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and peak hours.
