Barista Manager

Job Overview

Duties

• Lead and motivate the team to deliver outstanding customer service and ensure smooth daily operations
• Manage staff schedules, including training new staff & time off/vacation requests.
• Oversee food preparation, food safety practices, and food handling procedures in accordance with health regulations
• Maintain inventory levels, order supplies via chefs store, Costco, Seattle favorites, caffe darte, etc, and ensure proper food storage and cleanliness standards are met
• Train staff on workflow techniques, serving protocols, cash handling, and POS usage
• Monitor sales performance, analyze retail math metrics, and implement strategies to boost revenue
• Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and sanitation standards

Experience

• Proven experience as a barista with strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, including cold foam, lotus, redbulls & sf red bull that separate, decaf, white coffee, etc/
• Prior management experience preferred, but only barista experience required. We can train anyone the skills!
• Familiarity with POS systems such as square is highly desirable
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a busy setting
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse customer needs professionally
• proven ability to teach and train staff where they feel supported and not belittled
• Knowledge of food industry standards including food safety, serving practices, and basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations
• Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and service

Pay: $25.50 - $28.34 per hour
