Location: Totem Restaurant – Downtown Colorado Springs, CO

Job Type: Part-time (hourly position)

Compensation

$14.81 – $16.00 per hour + tips

(Pay rate based on experience and performance)

General Duties

• Correctly execute recipes from the drink book, including hot bar, cold bar, and mixology bar.
• Minimize losses and protect both materials and work equipment.
• Accurately complete checklists.
• Collaborate with the team to promote a positive work environment aligned with Totem’s mission and vision.
• Respect and fulfill assigned duties and responsibilities.
• Maintain excellence in product presentation and flavor to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Promote a culture of teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure customer satisfaction through consistent and accurate preparation of beverages.
• Keep the workspace clean, organized, and in optimal condition.
• Follow and execute the weekly cleaning and maintenance plan with the team.
• Ensure proper cleaning of the work area and dispose of waste in authorized locations.
• Wear the uniform correctly and maintain professional personal appearance.
• Maintain hygiene standards and ensure equipment is in good working condition.
• Assist with requisition of materials and supplies needed for daily operations.
• Keep the bar and visible areas clean and avoid accumulation of utensils in the reception area.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and follow instructions to optimize service.
• Promote a welcoming, service-oriented attitude when onboarding and supporting new team members.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a barista, bartender, or similar hospitality role.
• Knowledge of coffee preparation and/or cocktail mixology.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
