Overview
Thirsty First is a Sports Bar with a full event space and restaurant. Must be able and willing to work on your feet. This is a fast paced environment job.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and well-stocked.
- Engage with customers to take drink orders, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction.
- Handle cash register transactions accurately, including processing payments and managing tabs.
- Monitor inventory levels of liquor, beer, wine, and supplies; assist in ordering as needed.
- Adhere to all food safety and handling guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Assist in setting up for special events or banquets, including preparing drink menus and serving guests.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food orders when necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience in bartending or a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of retail math for accurate cash handling and inventory management.
- Familiarity with brewing techniques and beverage preparation methods is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to help team members as needed.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
