Bartender

City Tavern is seeking a committed, professional Bartender who is passionate about hospitality and takes pride in delivering an exceptional guest experience. This role goes beyond making drinks — our bartenders are brand ambassadors who set the tone for the guest’s visit and help create the unmatched hospitality City Tavern/Hogwash is known for.

Bartenders are expected to follow established systems, recipes, and service standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient bar. This position includes a structured training and onboarding process covering service standards, menu knowledge, POS usage (SmartTab), responsible alcohol service, and teamwork expectations. Ongoing learning, accountability, and attention to detail are essential to success in this role.

This is a 5-day position, and availability Friday through Sunday days is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to house recipes
• Provide excellent customer service to bar and table guests
• Take and enter orders accurately into the POS system
• Process payments, handle cash, and balance receipts
• Verify guest ID and monitor alcohol consumption responsibly
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, equipment, and work areas
• Stock bar supplies, prepare garnishes, and complete opening/closing duties
• Work collaboratively with servers and staff to support smooth operations

Requirements

• Previous bartending experience preferred
• Must be available Friday through Sunday days
• Ability to work a 5-day schedule
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $10.97 - $10.98 per hour
