Responsibilities:

Essential Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and serve beer, wine, and cocktails to guests
  • Take beverage orders from guests and serving staff
  • Collect payment and accurately handle cash transactions
  • Verify guest identification to ensure compliance with alcohol service laws
  • Monitor guest alcohol consumption and take appropriate steps to prevent over-service (e.g., arranging transportation for intoxicated patrons)
  • Maintain cleanliness of the bar, including glassware, utensils, equipment, and work areas
  • Stock the bar with beverages and supplies (ice, glassware, napkins, straws, etc.)
  • Slice and prepare garnishes for drinks
  • Serve light snacks or food items to bar guests
  • Answer questions about menu items, beverages, and resort offerings
  • Provide information about The Highlands and surrounding area
  • Collaborate with fellow bartenders and team members
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or GED
  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old
  • Certification: ServSafe certification (or obtain within 30 days)
  • Experience: At least 6 months preferred; bartending experience is a plus
