- Serve our team members first so they can, in turn, serve our guests and community
Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve beer, wine, and cocktails to guests
Take beverage orders from guests and serving staff
Collect payment and accurately handle cash transactions
Verify guest identification to ensure compliance with alcohol service laws
Monitor guest alcohol consumption and take appropriate steps to prevent over-service (e.g., arranging transportation for intoxicated patrons)
Maintain cleanliness of the bar, including glassware, utensils, equipment, and work areas
Stock the bar with beverages and supplies (ice, glassware, napkins, straws, etc.)
Slice and prepare garnishes for drinks
Serve light snacks or food items to bar guests
Answer questions about menu items, beverages, and resort offerings
Provide information about The Highlands and surrounding area
Collaborate with fellow bartenders and team members
Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED
Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old
Certification: ServSafe certification (or obtain within 30 days)
Experience: At least 6 months preferred; bartending experience is a plus
