Position Summary:

We are seeking an energetic and versatile Bartender/Server to join our team at Harbor Table. In this dual role, you will not only craft and serve beverages at the bar, but also take care of tables — taking orders, delivering food, and ensuring an outstanding dining experience for every guest. Your ability to shift seamlessly between bartending and serving will be essential in helping us maintain our warm, efficient service style.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Bartender:

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to Harbor Table recipes and standards.
  • Create a welcoming and lively atmosphere at the bar for all guests.
  • Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized bar area throughout the shift.
  • Check guests’ identification and ensure responsible alcohol service.
  • Suggest drink specials and upsell when appropriate.
  • Handle bar transactions accurately and efficiently.

As a Server:

  • Greet and engage guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the POS system.
  • Serve food and drinks promptly, following Harbor Table’s standards.
  • Monitor tables and anticipate guest needs throughout their dining experience.
  • Clear tables, reset for the next guests, and maintain cleanliness of the dining area.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and support staff to ensure smooth service.

General Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with teammates and management.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
  • Stay knowledgeable about menu items, specials, and promotions.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment and assist teammates as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 18+ years old
  • Previous experience as both a bartender and a server in a busy restaurant setting (preferred but not required).
  • Strong knowledge of beverage preparation and food service standards.
  • Excellent multitasking skills and ability to stay organized under pressure.
  • Outstanding communication and guest service skills.
  • Must meet legal age requirements to serve alcohol.
  • Certification in Responsible Alcohol Service (or ability to obtain one).
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A positive attitude, team spirit, and a passion for hospitality.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
