Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently, adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner to enhance their experience and encourage repeat visits.
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process orders, payments, and refunds smoothly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and balancing registers at shift end.
- Monitor guest behavior to ensure a safe environment, especially in nightclub or banquet settings, intervening when necessary.
- Restock bar supplies regularly to ensure availability of ingredients, garnishes, glassware, and utensils.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate serving times for food and beverages during catering or banquet events.
- Follow all food handling procedures diligently to prevent contamination or spoilage while serving food or beverages.
- Uphold responsible alcohol service policies by checking IDs and recognizing signs of intoxication.
- Assist in training new team members on POS systems like Aloha or Micros, customer service protocols, and safety procedures.
- Contribute to a lively atmosphere by participating in event setup or themed nights as needed.
Skills
- Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining establishments, nightclubs, or banquet settings with a strong understanding of beverage preparation techniques.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient order processing.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while maintaining professionalism.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders during busy periods without sacrificing quality or accuracy.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures across various service environments.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly for cash handling, retail math applications, or tab management.
- Experience in serving alcohol responsibly by verifying IDs and monitoring guest consumption levels.
- Familiarity with retail math concepts relevant to sales tracking and inventory management within the hospitality industry.
- Previous experience working in hospitality venues such as nightclubs, restaurants, or catering events is highly desirable.
