Bartending Lead - Steelbound Brewery Niagara Falls

Steelbound Brewery is excited to open and grow our Niagara Falls location, and we’re looking for a strong, hands-on Bartending Lead to help drive the bar forward. Located in a high-energy tourist destination, this role offers the opportunity to work with guests from all around the world in one of the region’s premier tourism meccas.

Compensation:
$20–$23 per hour + tips

Position Overview

The Bartending Lead operates as the on-shift supervisor of the bar, balancing active bartending with leadership, sales driving initiatives, and operational oversight. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, maximizing beverage revenue, and ensuring the bar runs efficiently and profitably during all assigned shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Supervision

• Act as the lead supervisor for the bar during assigned shifts
• Direct and support bartenders and barbacks to ensure smooth, efficient service
• Lead by example in professionalism, urgency, and guest interaction
• Provide coaching and real-time feedback to team members

Bartending & Guest Experience

• Prepare and serve beer, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages to company standards
• Deliver exceptional, high-energy guest service to a diverse, international customer base
• Engage with guests to enhance their experience and encourage repeat visits
• Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally

Sales & Revenue Generation

• Actively promote and sell Steelbound beers, specialty cocktails, and featured products
• Develop and execute drink specials and upselling strategies
• Assist in planning and supporting events, promotions, and activations to drive alcohol sales
• Collaborate with management on seasonal menus, featured items, and promotional ideas

Operations & Standards

• Oversee daily bar operations including opening, closing, and shift execution
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar at all times
• Ensure adherence to recipes, portioning, and presentation standards
• Monitor inventory levels, product usage, and waste

Compliance & Accountability

• Enforce all ID checks and responsible alcohol service practices
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal alcohol regulations
• Accurately handle cash, tabs, and POS transactions
• Maintain accountability for shift performance and reporting

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years bartending experience required
• Previous leadership, lead, or supervisory experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of beer, cocktails, and high-volume bar operations
• Experience with promotions, events, or sales-driving initiatives preferred
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
• Excellent communication, leadership, and guest service skills
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
