Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Behavioral Health Practice Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our behavioral health clinic. Duties
- Oversee daily clinic operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient patient scheduling
- Supervise clinical and administrative staff, providing coaching, training, and performance evaluations
- Manage fiscal responsibilities including budgeting, billing, coding accuracy, and financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, JCAHO standards, and other healthcare policies
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks to maintain accurate medical records
- Coordinate with medical providers to optimize patient care delivery and utilization management
- Monitor clinic performance metrics and implement improvements to enhance service quality and operational efficiency
- Oversee human resources functions including hiring, onboarding, and staff development in accordance with healthcare management best practices
- Maintain knowledge of managed care requirements and ensure billing practices align with insurance guidelines
- Facilitate communication between clinical teams, patients, payers, and external agencies to support comprehensive care
Skills
- Proven experience in medical office management within behavioral health or mental health clinics
- Strong supervisory skills with a track record of leading multidisciplinary teams
- Expertise in fiscal management including budgeting, financial analysis, and resource allocation
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems.
- Understand medicaid programs and reimbursements.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, and healthcare compliance standards
- Experience with medical administrative support functions like coding, billing, and insurance claims processing
- Familiarity with clinic experience in acute care settings or hospital environments is highly desirable
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Strong human resources skills including staff recruitment, training, and conflict resolution
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing healthcare policies and technology updates
