Role Overview

The Bell Captain is responsible for leading the bell desk operations, ensuring smooth guest arrivals and departures, managing luggage handling services, and delivering a warm, professional first and last impression of the property. This role supervises bell staff, coordinates with Front Office and Concierge teams, and upholds Salayel Hospitality’s service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily bell desk operations and manage bell attendants/porters
  • Ensure efficient handling of guest luggage during arrivals, departures, and room moves
  • Welcome guests courteously and assist with directions, room orientation, and hotel facilities
  • Coordinate closely with Front Office, Concierge, Housekeeping, and Valet teams
  • Maintain accurate luggage logs and guest request records
  • Ensure cleanliness, safety, and organization of bell desk, lobby, and storage areas
  • Train, coach, and motivate bell staff to deliver exceptional guest service
  • Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints professionally
  • Ensure compliance with hotel SOPs, safety standards, and service protocols
  • Assist in managing transportation arrangements and valet coordination when required

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in a Bell Desk or similar Front Office role
  • Prior experience as Bell Captain / Senior Bell Attendant preferred
  • Hospitality experience within hotels or serviced apartments is mandatory
  • Strong leadership and team supervision skills
  • Excellent communication and guest-handling abilities
  • Physically fit and able to handle luggage as required
  • Knowledge of Abu Dhabi locations and attractions is an advantage
  • Well-groomed with a professional appearance
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
