Benefit Administrator (remote)

Overview

Innovative Renal Care is seeking a dedicated, employee‑centric Benefit Administrator to support our nationwide workforce. This role focuses on helping employees navigate their benefits while ensuring data accuracy through regular audits and Excel‑based reconciliation. Candidates with experience in benefits within multisite healthcare environments and a passion for high‑quality employee support will thrive in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Responds to employee inquiries in a courteous and timely manner via phone and email, providing clear information on benefit plans, eligibility, enrollment, and qualifying events.
• Assists employees with complex issues related to benefit payments, coverage, or access to care, and troubleshoots benefit issues independently by accessing information from multiple sources.
• Conducts regular audits of benefit utilization, costs, eligibility changes, and vendor invoices; performs quality checks; reconciles benefit data including allocation and billing charges; and prepares required reports.
• Coordinates the transfer of accurate benefit data to external vendors, plan providers, auditors, and consultants, and serves as a liaison between employees and insurance carriers/vendors to resolve issues.
• Maintains and updates benefit records within the UKG HRIS and handles all sensitive information with strict discretion and full HIPAA compliance.
• Supports ongoing process improvements to enhance benefit administration workflows

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in benefits administration is preferred.
• Intermediate Excel proficiency is essential, including the ability to use formulas and functions to analyze data.
• Experience performing benefit audits and reconciling large datasets is preferred.
• Experience in a national, multisite healthcare environment is highly valued.
• Previous experience with UKG (UltiPro) and carrier portals is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to effectively support a remote workforce.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
