Benefits Administrator

The Benefits Administrator plays a pivotal role in supporting AAA Parking’s multi-state operations by administering employee benefits programs, managing workers’ compensation claims, and serving as a backup payroll processor. This position ensures accurate, timely, and compliant administration of benefits and claims while providing excellent support to our employees across diverse operational settings.

This is a hybrid role. (2 days remote, 3 days onsite)

Key Responsibilities

Benefits Administration

  • Oversee administration of medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, flexible spending accounts, and retirement plans.

  • Facilitate new hire enrollment, open enrollment, and qualifying life event changes for hourly and salaried employees across multiple states.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits inquiries, provide educational resources, and address coverage concerns.

  • Maintain accurate records in ADP Lyric and submit timely data to carriers and vendors.

  • Audit benefit invoices, resolve discrepancies, and collaborate with payroll for accurate deductions.

  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations including ACA, COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, and applicable state mandates.

  • Support vendor management, plan renewals, and communications to employees regarding benefits.

Workers’ Compensation Claim Management

  • Serve as liaison for workers’ compensation claims across parking garages, hotel properties, event venues, and shuttle operations.

  • Submit First Reports of Injury (FROI) accurately and promptly to carriers or third-party administrators.

  • Collaborate with employees, management, and insurance partners for claim processing, medical follow-ups, and return-to-work planning.

  • Monitor claims status, oversee medical documentation, manage work restrictions, and identify transitional duty opportunities.

Backup Payroll Support

  • Provide backup support to payroll processing for multi-state operations during absences, peak periods, or special projects.

  • Review timesheets, verify hours, and ensure accurate pay for hourly and salaried employees across all operational areas.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Labor Relations, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 2–4 years of experience in benefits administration, workers’ compensation, payroll support, or HR.

  • Experience supporting multi-state operations preferred.

  • Proficiency in HRIS/benefits platforms (ADP or similar).

  • Knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, ACA, FMLA, and other benefits compliance regulations.

  • Deep understanding of core employee benefits and multi-state workers’ compensation.

  • Knowledge of state-specific reporting, waiting periods, and return-to-work requirements.

  • Ability to provide clear, empathetic support in fast-paced, customer-facing environments.

  • Ability to use sound judgment in navigating complex benefits, payroll, and injury-related situations, and to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.

Preferred:

  • Ongoing training, certifications, or evidence of continued knowledge-building in HR, benefits, or payroll.

  • Experience supporting multi-state operations.

  • Strong knowledge of benefits compliance regulations.

  • Experience in the hospitality industry preferred.

  • Experience engaging with an hourly workforce.

  • Basic payroll and wage/hour compliance knowledge.

  • Experience with payroll systems (ADP Lyric, Paycom, or similar).

  • CEBS or similar certification; FPC is a plus.

  • Uses sound judgment when navigating complex benefits, payroll, or injury related situations.

Hours
Days, afternoons, evenings as required.
