BI Analyst

Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our client's long-term data project while working closely with their IT team to ensure that data requirements are met. The ideal candidate will possess a strong BI reporting background, with hands-on experience in Microsoft Power BI, SQL, and/or Alteryx. You’ll be responsible for building and refining BI reports, as well as collaborating with a variety of individuals to understand data integration needs and support a smooth transition into future phases.

Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the client's internal team to create and refine BI reports, with a focus on Power BI (preferred) or Tableau (acceptable).
  • Contribute to the reconciliation and clean-up efforts of data as part of the discovery phase.
  • Assist in translating business requirements into actionable insights and clearly articulate the technical needs of the client to the 3rd party IT group.
  • Leverage Alteryx to automate and streamline data processes, including "churn and burn" tasks, while maintaining high-quality reporting outputs.
  • Support AWS data systems integration where applicable and help optimize cloud-based solutions.
  • Work with SQL for data extraction, transformation, and manipulation to generate detailed reports.
  • Be open to learning new tools/technologies (e.g., Alteryx, Power BI, SQL, AWS, Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, HubSpot, etc.) and bring an eagerness to continuously improve skills.
  • Automated task scheduling processes to enhance workflow efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Help the client articulate their data needs effectively to the 3rd party IT group as they move into the next phase of data integration.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in BI reporting tools; Microsoft Power BI (preferred) or Tableau (acceptable).
  • Hands-on experience with Alteryx (strongly preferred) and ability to automate data processes.
  • Familiarity with SQL for database queries and data manipulation.
  • Experience with AWS and/or Azure Data Factory (preferred, but not required).
  • Snowflake experience is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with Jams and HubSpot is a huge advantage.
  • PL-300 Certification is a nice-to-have, but not required.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to "hit the ground running" and work independently.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to transform complex data into clear insights.
  • Eager to work on and learn multiple aspects of the BI process, from reporting to automation, with a focus on long-term solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • A coachability mindset, with an openness to feedback and continuous self-improvement.

About the Project:

Phase 1 - Reconciliation, clean-up, and discovery (currently underway and forecasted for the next 6-12 months) The client’s goal for this phase is to create clear documentation and articulations of their data needs for third-party IT integration.

Phase 2 - Focusing on data integrations into a new HubSpot warehouse.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
