PPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Act as an expert in the stabilisation of business intelligence operations and reports, with a focus on Sigma BI and Snowflake environments

• Manage and support a team of specialists from various fields (business intelligence analysts and ETL/BI developers)

• Proactive communicator with leaders in the organisation and able to prevent and manage crises linked to data quality and report production delays

• Design and implement tactical processes to secure the production of timely and accurate reports within Sigma BI and Snowflake-based pipelines

• Maintain and improve report delivery through difficult data challenges and provide feedback on the work of others

• Promote business intelligence and data management best practices, leveraging Sigma BI and Snowflake capabilities across the company

• Provide hands-on coaching and oversight on all aspects of BI report delivery: appraisal, design, management, deployment, delivery and more

• Work directly with stakeholders to address their BAU needs using Sigma BI as the primary reporting layer over a Snowflake data platform

• Ensure the development of key resources to migrate to and scale within the Snowflake and Sigma BI ecosystem

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A university degree in business intelligence, data science or other relevant training

• Over 4 years of experience in BI Ops, improvement and maintenance of BI reports

• Primary expertise in Sigma BI for report development, dashboard design and self-service analytics delivery

• Deep hands-on experience with Snowflake, including data modeling, warehouse management, query optimization and cost governance

• Technical proficiency in SQL (including Snowflake SQL dialect), and working knowledge of DAX and API integrations

• Excellent understanding of data warehousing environments and ELT techniques, particularly within the Snowflake ecosystem

• Knowledge of cloud and hybrid cloud implementations, including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS

• Familiarity with complementary modern data stack tools (e.g. dbt, Fivetran, Azure Data Factory, Power BI) considered an asset

• Excellent analytical and reasoning skills resulting in clear, robust and flexible architectures

• Ability to proactively manage senior stakeholders

• Encourage outreach to others through collaboration, examples and mentoring

• Exceptional communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
