Billing Director

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and high-energy Billing Director to spearhead our financial operations. This is a leadership role designed for a professional who doesn't just manage spreadsheets, but masters the art of people management. You will be responsible for the integrity of our billing cycle, ensuring strict HIPAA compliance, and developing the next generation of billing talent within the firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Oversight: Manage the full-cycle billing process to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and maximum revenue retention.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Prepare and present comprehensive weekly and monthly financial reports directly to the Owners, highlighting KPIs, collection rates, and areas for improvement.
  • Compliance & Security: Act as the primary gatekeeper for HIPAA guidelines, ensuring all team workflows and data handling protocols meet legal standards for patient privacy.
  • Conflict Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve internal team conflicts or departmental friction using professional mediation techniques.
  • Training & Mentorship: Design and execute training programs for both entry-level staff and mid-level managers to standardize excellence across the department.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience: * Minimum 5 years of dedicated experience in billing operations in managerial and leadership capacity.
  • At least 2 years in a Director position.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven track record of resolving workplace conflict and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Expertise: Deep understanding of medical billing (if applicable), insurance claim life cycles, and HIPAA regulations.
  • Communication: Exceptional English communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for ownership.
