Billing Manager

We have an immediate opening on our team in insurance billing and account management. The primary responsibility of this position is insurance and patient billing along with collection activities. This role is responsible for leadership and oversight of daily operations of all billing activities.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Experience in Health insurance/billing procedures
• Experience in insurance verification, claims submissions, completing prior authorizations for services, verifying insurance eligibility and benefits to determine patient responsibility
• Reviewing outstanding EOB's for non-payment and initiating proper protocol for collection
• Processing, and appealing denials from various insurance companies
• Collecting on accounts as well as automobile claims
• Answering incoming patient and insurance calls
• Completing medical records requests
• Well organized with strong communication skills

Additionally, this position will be responsible for the direct supervision of all billing and collections of active and outstanding accounts

• Familiarity with CPT and ICD-9/10 coding
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and successfully manage multi-tasking situations
• Demonstrate ability to think critically and solve problems
• Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
• Ability to use discretion and judgment in dealing with sensitive and confidential information
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and database management tools
