As professional Planners, Harbor Consultants, Inc. has represented several municipalities as consulting planners in various capacities such as Board Planners, Redevelopment Planners, Affordable Housing Planners, Township and Master Planners, and often a combination of those responsibilities.

Job Description

Harbor Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Billing Manager to work part-time at our office in Cranford, New Jersey.

Job Requirements

● Produce monthly invoices and statements

● Input vendor invoices accurately and efficiently into the billing system;

● Complete vouchers for municipalities to accompany invoice transmissions;

● Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies;

● Assist in reconciling accounts and resolving any billing discrepancies;

● Communicate effectively with vendors and clients regarding billing inquiries and documentation requirements;

● Collaborate with internal teams to improve invoicing processes and workflow efficiency

● Generate reports and provide administrative support as needed.

Qualifications

● Experience in billing, accounting, or a related field preferred;

● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail;

● Working knowledge of the Ajera billing system is a plus;

● Proficiency in AJERA Billing Software, Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Adobe, and general accounting software;

● Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines;

● Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients and internal teams;

● Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work and the ability to work independently.

Compensation and Schedule

● Competitive pay, $25-$30/hour, based on experience

● Part-time position, 20-25 hours/week with flexible scheduling
