Billing Specialist

Job Description:

With direct supervision, this role performs a variety of routine and non-routine billing functions to ensure the proper preparation of accurate and timely bills to customers based on service contract terms and also is responsible for related activities.

Responsibilities:

• Prepares and enters monthly billing adjustments into the system.
• Reviews invoices for completeness and accuracy. Follows up with customers or other division staff/management to resolve identified discrepancies.
• Calculates and prepares manual billings for non-routine, complex billing arrangements.
• Reviews and maintains various billing reports.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

• Education: Associated Degree from an Accredited University or College.
• Experience: One or Two year of relevant work experience in billing, accounts receivable, other positions in Accounting/Finance field.

Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

• Must possess proficient computer skills in MS Excel and other Billing Software.
• Must have quick problem solving ability.
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written. Candidate has understand both English and Spanish language (bilingual).
• Ability to maintain good working relationships with coworkers and customers.
