Billing Specialist

Company Description: John W. Stone Oil Distributor, LLC is the local leader in dockside, mid-streaming, and offshore fueling along the Mississippi River, from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to Houston, Texas, and into the Gulf of Mexico.

Position: Billing Specialist

Reports To: Operations Manager, Texas and Offshore Fleet

Worksite: Houston Texas

Work Schedule: 8am to 5pm, Monday-Friday.

Essential Job Duties:

• Process all tickets and get approvals for invoicing
• Ascend – order entry, delivery, invoice auditing, print/send, credit rebills
• Create invoices according to company practices; submits invoices
• Answer phones
• General clerical duties
• Knowledge of basic accounting principals
• Inventory support
• Other duties that may be requested by Director, Supervisor or Executive Management as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 18 years of age.
• Reliable Transportation to and from Work.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision
• Dependable/ reliable
• Ability to pay close attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines
• High School Diploma (or equivalent).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Prior experience as an Administrator Assistant
