BIM Electrical Engineer (2 Openings)

About the Role

Colas Rail Egypt is seeking two skilled and motivated BIM Electrical Engineers to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for developing, managing, and coordinating Power Supply BIM models for major railway and infrastructure projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and maintain Power Supply BIM models throughout all project phases.

• Coordinate BIM activities with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, track, signaling, telecommunications, and MEP disciplines.

• Ensure all BIM deliverables comply with project requirements, BIM Execution Plans (BEP), client specifications, and company standards.

• Conduct model reviews, clash detection, and coordination activities to identify and resolve design conflicts.

• Prepare and maintain BIM documentation, reports, schedules, and project deliverables.

• Support design teams with BIM expertise and promote BIM best practices across projects.

• Ensure model accuracy, data integrity, and consistency throughout the project lifecycle.

• Participate in coordination meetings and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in BIM modeling and coordination.

• Previous experience in railway, metro, LRT, transportation, or large-scale infrastructure projects is highly preferred.

• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and other BIM-related software.

• Solid understanding of BIM standards, workflows, and coordination processes.

• Experience in electrical systems and power supply design coordination.

• Knowledge of BIM Execution Plans (BEP), clash detection, and model-based project delivery.

• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and international project teams.
