BIM Manager

Summary Description:

The BIM Manager will provide technical expertise, leadership and management to theconstruction team during the pre-construction planning, development and delivery phases of theproject, ultimately ensuring full execution of BIM across the project in accordance withEmployers Requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Assume the role of the Contractors Representative for Building Information Modelling (BIM).

Supporting development and execution of the BIM Project Management Plan in accordancewith the Employers BIM strategy and standards.

Ensuring provision of quality model data including Industry Foundations Classes (IFC) andCOBie data.

Ensuring use of the company BIM Storage Solution throughout all project stages.

Responsible for conducting QA/QC of BIM and outputs using specialist tools and internalprocesses.

Responsible for the use of BIM to support on-site construction and planning activities.

Maintaining a close working relationship with project wide BIM representatives, designmanagers and the Employers Team.

Responsible for coordinating and attending project team BIM meetings.

Monitoring BIM implementation progress and provide updates to the company on a weeklybasis

Provide leadership, guidance and advice to the project team with the view to improvingefficiency and effectiveness in BIM implementation.

Promote a foster a strong team culture with open and transparent communication.

Establishing and maintaining regular close contact with the Employer to address anyEmployer concerns.

Provide reports (internal and external) in accordance with Contract requirements.

Qualification Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, ProjectManagement or relevant industry experience.

Member of Professional Engineering or Project / Construction Management Society or otherrecognised Body is desirable.

Fluent in spoken and written English (Mandatory)

Minimum five (5) years’ experience with successful track record for BIM implementation ondesign and construction of major complex projects. Previous work experience in the Middle Eastis essential.
