Biomedical Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Biomedical Engineer to manage the installation, calibration, preventive maintenance, and repair of all medical equipment in the hospital. The candidate will ensure that all biomedical devices operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with NABH standards, supporting optimal patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, test, and maintain biomedical and clinical equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of all medical and diagnostic instruments.
• Maintain equipment performance logs, service records, and calibration schedules.
• Coordinate with equipment suppliers and service vendors for repair, warranty, and AMC support.
• Conduct periodic training sessions for staff on equipment handling and safety.
• Support procurement decisions by evaluating new biomedical technologies and vendors.
• Ensure strict compliance with NABH requirements related to biomedical equipment management.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to hospital electrical safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Educational Qualification:
• Diploma or Degree in Biomedical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Experience: Minimum 1–5 years of experience in a hospital setup.
• Work experience in an NABH-accredited hospital is preferred.
• Knowledge of:
• Operation and maintenance of medical devices (ventilators, monitors, defibrillators, anesthesia machines, etc.)
• Preventive maintenance protocols and calibration standards.
• Equipment inventory management and documentation per NABH norms.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
