Bms Commissioning Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

BMS

• Detailed understanding of HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical system functioning and the monitoring and controlling logic
• Developing and implementing software strategies, graphics engineering, and control sequences
• Interprets engineering drawings and specifications to develop and provide engineered equipment submittals in compliance with contract drawing, site coordination, and site installation requirements.
• Develop control panel designs using information gathered through site surveys and existing system documentation.
• Installation and configuration of BMS components, including HVAC systems, lighting, security, and other automated systems.
• Conducting thorough point-to-point testing, functional testing, and performance verification of all BMS components and software to ensure they meet design specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with HVAC, electrical, and mechanical teams to ensure integrated system performance.
• Analyze system data and trends to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, changes, and maintenance activities.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on BMS hardware and software
• Identifying and resolving issues related to system functionality, software, or hardware malfunctions.

ELV and Office/ Home Automation

• Design, program, and commission smart building automation systems using ETS software.
• Configure, test, and integrate KNX devices and systems for residential and commercial projects.
• Develop project documentation, including KNX topologies, addressing plans, and functional descriptions.
• Prepare ETS project files, group addresses, and logical scenes based on project requirements.
• Lead site installations, commissioning, and troubleshooting of KNX and other ELV systems.
• Coordinate with design consultants, project stakeholders, and site teams to ensure timely and quality delivery.
• Design and oversee implementation of ELV systems including:
• Structured cabling
• CCTV and surveillance systems
• Access control and intercom systems
• Public address and audio-video distribution
• Fire alarm systems
• Strong understanding of KNX topology, addressing, device configuration, logic functions, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in reading electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical layouts.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in Electronics, Computer or related engineering field.
• Niagra certification and Proven experience (2+ years) working with BMS systems (e.g., Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider Electric, Johnson Controls).
• Good understanding of computer networking, communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks), and automation systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

• 3 years of BMS configuration experience and 2 years of office/ home automation experience
• Overall Experience: 5 years (Preferable)
