BMS Team Leader

You will lead a team of mostly seniors with very high competitive skills and experience in Building Management System design and execution. People management skills further to rigid and proven experience for above 10 years in the same field is mandatory as you will be leading a team to delivering assigned scopes at committed times, within quality standards within all BMS project cycle starting from solution design, solution compliance verification and engineering, risers design, wiring panels fabrication design, FDS documents, logic creation, T&C) as well as to ensure standard engineering process and quality management process implemented and secure growth of engineering usage and engagement, and work with senior executives to find the best strategies to meet requirements. We rely on our engineering team to build the foundation for our success.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead BMS team, tracking team utilization VS AOP to maintain it and overachieve.
• Deployment of standard project estimation and execution
• Problem solving, strategic handling of major projects escalations.
• Project execution activities quality assurance and tracking of delivery VS planned dates and estimated labour hours.
• Lead the team delivering assigned scopes at committed times, within quality standards (BMS solution design, solution compliance verification and engineering, risers design, wiring fabrication design, FDS documents, logic creation, T&C)
• Lead the team to Study and Evaluate BMS and HVAC systems all technical drawings, documents, products, components, application and any revisions thereon.
• Lead the team to Verify and prepare all the required design of BMS control systems (i.e. Compliance Statement, BAS Material Submittal, Control Schematic diagrams, BAS system architecture, I/O points lists, BOQ, cable schedules, wiring and termination drawings, installation details... etc.).
• Lead the team to do proper selection of material and equipment according to the calculations and the project specifications.
• Lead the team to ensure design compliance with specification.
• Lead the team to Prepare project engineering submittals (Material Submittals, Method Statements, Shop drawings, Operation and Maintenance manuals, and other project documentation) as required in line with company and client requirements as well as standards and codes of practices.
• Lead the team to generate logic function block diagram and download to controller and do T&C.
• Guide build-up of BMS project database.
• Drive project specific technical discussions and deploy standard engineering process.
• Looking after BMS scope growth and extend team’s engagement in BMS projects globally.
• Work on scope discussions make sure of team’s accurate understanding of the solution requirement to ensure accurate workable engineering design that is complying to project’s specifications.
• Ensure of proper labour estimation.
• Follow on and provide project reporting thread with multiple high level/low level reporting styles.
• Look after team quality, qualifications development and team growth.
• Perform team trainings and follow up on team’s knowledge gaining and experience development.
• Arrange and perform technical cross-knowledge trainings.
• Set standards of technical BMS interviewing process, standards and perform in-depth experience check for potential candidates

Qualifications & Education:

• Degree in Mechanical/electrical/Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent
• 10 to 12 years of experience in Building Management System Design and Engineering
• Experience 3 -4 years in team leading activities.
• Full and rigid understanding of BMS design process and operations
• Ability and proven experience to properly read MEP design and extract mandatory BMS design requirements and inputs.
• Ability and fluency to have in depth BMS technical discissions and deliver correct and proper understanding of design problems and solving.
• Problem-solving abilities, and fully aware of escalation protocols, efficiently implementing them.
• Further understanding of multiple building solutions basics, and system components like FAS, ACS, CCTV is a plus.
