The BMS Technician is responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Building Management Systems (BMS), including HVAC controls, electrical systems, and automation components. The role ensures efficient building operations, energy optimization, and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain BMS systems (HVAC, lighting, fire alarm integration, etc.)
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of BMS equipment
  • Diagnose faults and carry out corrective maintenance of control systems
  • Monitor alarms and respond promptly to system failures or abnormalities
  • Adjust and optimize system parameters for energy efficiency and performance
  • Coordinate with HVAC, electrical, and maintenance teams for system integration
  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation of system performance
  • Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning of new BMS systems
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures
  • Support upgrades and modifications to existing BMS infrastructure

Requirements:

  • Diploma / ITI in Electrical, Electronics, or relevant field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in BMS operations and maintenance
  • Hands-on experience with BMS platforms (e.g., Honeywell, Siemens, Schneider, Johnson Controls)
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, control systems, and automation
  • Familiarity with protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, or LonWorks
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations
