The BMS Technician is responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning support, of Building Management Systems including HVAC controls, monitoring devices, sensors, controllers, and associated field equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install BMS field devices such as controllers, sensors, actuators, valves, dampers, and control panels
- Perform cable pulling, termination, labelling, and testing as per drawings
- Panel installation and field wiring verification
- Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities
- Perform point-to-point testing and loop checking
- Assist engineers during system integration and functional testing
- Updates on redline markups
- Maintain daily work reports.
- Coordinate with engineers for snag clearance and handover documentation
- Follow site HSE rules and company safety procedures
- Use proper PPE and tools during all site activities
- Ensure work complies with site specifications
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Knowledge of HVAC control systems
- Familiarity with BMS platforms (any of the following is an advantage):
- o Siemens o Honeywell o Schneider o Johnson Controls
- Understanding of control drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams(mandatory)
Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in BMS works
- Experience in UAE projects preferred
Soft Skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Willingness to work extended hours during commissioning phases
Working Conditions
- Site-based role
- May require night shifts or weekend work as per site requirement.
