Job Purpose:

The PG & MDSA Boardman is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all Power Generation (PG) and Main Diesel Storage Area (MDSA) equipment during the shift. The role ensures compliance with operational guidelines, safety standards, and performance parameters while supporting continuous power generation and distribution.

Qualifications:

  • DAE in Electrical
  • 8–10 years of hands-on experience in similar facilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot PG & MDSA equipment to ensure safe and reliable performance.
  • Ensure personnel and equipment safety in the assigned area.
  • Manage storage, distribution, and fuel tank operations while maintaining adequate reserves.
  • Monitor and regulate load demand, ensuring compliance with load management and contribution sharing with solar systems.
  • Maintain operational logs, downtime records, and daily/monthly generation & distribution reports.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and field operators for smooth start-up, shutdown, and emergency handling.
  • Perform trend analysis of operational parameters and report deviations to the management.
  • Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities for continuous plant availability.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE standards, risk assessments, incident investigations, and emergency response plans.
  • Monitor SCADA systems, ensuring continuous supervision of operational parameters.
  • Maintain and test fire detection, suppression, and other safety-critical devices.
  • Report operational issues, maintenance requirements, and safety concerns to supervisors on time.
  • Ensure adherence to labor laws, company policies, and procedures while being available for extended hours/callouts when required.
  • Communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, and technical staff to encourage teamwork and smooth coordination.

Additional Expectations:

  • Participate in training programs, professional certifications, and health & safety communication.
  • Ensure compliance with operating guidelines, standing orders, and reporting protocols.
  • Facilitate LOTOTO implementation, permit-to-work procedures, and safe equipment isolation.
  • Provide periodic reports on DGs performance, efficiency, and maintenance needs.
  • Handle emergency protocols including power outages, equipment failures, and high-load demands.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs120,000.00 - Rs150,000.00 per month
