Book Designer

Role Description & ResponsibilitiesThis is a full-time on-site role for a Graphic & Book Designer, suited for someone passionate about visual storytelling and book publishing. Responsibilities include:

• Designing layouts, covers, and illustrations for books across genres, especially children’s titles
• Creating marketing collaterals, posters, banners, and digital creatives for campaigns and events
• Developing engaging, child-friendly designs for Woodpecker Books (activity books, storybooks, puzzles)
• Collaborating with editors, writers, and the content team to ensure designs align with brand vision
• Preparing print-ready files, ensuring accuracy in formatting, colours, and specifications
• Managing multiple design projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines
• Staying updated with design trends in publishing and retail

Qualifications and Requirements

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and CorelDRAW, Premier Pro
• Prior experience in book design or publishing is preferred
• Strong sense of typography, layout, and colour
• Creative thinker with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or a related field

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
