Book Keeping Assistant (Accounts executive)

About the Role

A fast-scaling business seeking a meticulous and highly organised Bookkeeper to join their finance team. This is a hands-on role at the heart of their day-to-day financial operations, ideal for someone who takes pride in accuracy, thrives under volume, and is eager to grow within a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out daily and weekly reconciliations across multiple bank accounts
  • Match high volumes of transactions to underlying records with precision
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly, maintaining a structured workflow to prevent backlogs
  • Keep a centralised tracker of unmatched transactions and escalate long-outstanding items where necessary
  • Review and validate employee expense submissions in line with company policy
  • Ensure all claims are accurate, complete, and compliant
  • Maintain an expense tracking and approval log, managing the process through to final approval
  • Record and raise shop order invoices on Xero on a daily basis
  • Ensure all partner-related transactions are captured accurately to support timely and correct partner settlement calculations
  • Assist with journal entries and month-end close processes
  • Liaise with internal teams to obtain missing invoices and supporting documentation
  • Maintain clean, organised, and audit-ready financial records
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in finance processes and workflow

Skills & Experience Required

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
  • 1–2 years of post-graduate experience in bookkeeping or a similar finance role
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software, ideally Xero
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Proven experience carrying out bank reconciliations in a professional setting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs80,000.00 - Rs90,000.00 per month
