Bookkeeper

Bookkeeper | Sweet CPAs LLC | Baton Rouge, LA | Hybrid

$20 – $30 per hour

We're a small CPA firm in Baton Rouge and we're growing fast. Our clients range from medical practices to venture capital funds to nonprofits, and no two of their accounting setups look the same. We're looking for a bookkeeper who genuinely enjoys figuring out how a new system works — not someone who needs everything to match what they've always done.

This is a hybrid role and will include time at clients' offices, along with remote time.

What you'll be doing:

• Full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients across different industries
• Bank and credit card reconciliations, AP/AR, and journal entries
• Assisting with payroll setup and maintenance
• Monthly and quarterly financials for client review
• Working closely with our CPAs to keep clients audit- and tax-ready
• Driving to client offices in the Baton Rouge area as needed (reliable vehicle required)

What we need from you:

• Strong QuickBooks Online skills — this is a hard requirement
• 2+ years of bookkeeping experience, ideally across multiple clients or industries
• The ability to learn a new accounting platform or workflow quickly and without much hand-holding
• Attention to detail that you'd describe as almost annoying
• Good communication — you'll interact with clients directly, not just internally

Nice to have:

• Experience with industry-specific software (medical, property management, etc.)
• QBO ProAdvisor certification
• Exposure to year-end tax prep or audit support
