We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the general ledger using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.
  • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between bank statements and internal records.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions promptly and accurately.
  • Record journal entries in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and ensure proper double-entry bookkeeping practices.
  • Reconcile accounts regularly, including balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to identify discrepancies.
  • Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and governmental accounting requirements as needed.
  • Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for management review.
  • Support budgeting processes by tracking expenses and assisting in financial planning activities.
  • Conduct account reconciliation tasks such as general ledger reconciliation and account analysis to maintain data integrity.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable functions efficiently while maintaining compliance with organizational policies.
  • Utilize technical accounting skills for complex transactions and ensure adherence to accounting standards like GAAP.

Skills

  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles and non-profit accounting practices.
  • Experience with governmental accounting standards and tax regulations is a plus.
  • Knowledge of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, and double-entry bookkeeping.
  • Ability to perform bank reconciliations, account analysis, and general ledger reconciliation accurately.
  • Familiarity with payroll processing and tax experience related to payroll taxes.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills; proficiency in 10-key typing is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret financial data clearly and write comprehensive financial reports.

Job Type: Part-time
