We are a state-licensed cannabis distribution facility committed to accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence. We’re seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Bookkeeper to oversee daily financial operations, customer billing, payroll, and reporting. This is a key role supporting both internal financial health and external client transparency within a highly regulated industry.

Position Overview

The Bookkeeper will manage the full cycle of bookkeeping, from closing and sending invoices to tracking payments, reconciling expenses, and processing payroll. This role also includes preparing Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and providing customers with detailed account overviews upon request, ensuring accurate communication and financial clarity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all daily bookkeeping and accounting for the licensed cannabis distribution facility.
  • Close, generate, and send accurate invoices to customers.
  • Enter and reconcile customer payments, deposits, and credits.
  • Maintain organized, up-to-date records of company expenses, vendor bills, and receipts.
  • Maintain expense reports up to date, ensuring accurate categorization and documentation of all company expenditures.
  • Process and manage payroll accurately and on schedule, ensuring compliance with tax and labor regulations.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable and maintain accurate financial ledgers.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and other financial summaries.
  • Provide customers with in-depth account overviews, including transaction histories, balances, and payment statuses.
  • Monitor outstanding balances and assist with collections when necessary.
  • Support management with financial planning, audits, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure all bookkeeping activities comply with cannabis industry regulations and accounting best practices.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (cannabis industry experience strongly preferred).
  • Proficient with Zoho Inventory, Excel/Google Sheets, and general accounting principles.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to explain financial information clearly to both management and customers.
  • Highly organized, accurate, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality with financial data.

Pay: $26.73 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week
