We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage financial records and support our administrative operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all financial data is accurate, organized, and up to date, while supporting the team in transitioning to digital workflows.
Core Responsibilities
- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, including journal entries and maintaining the general ledger.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage and track outgoing payments to vendors and subcontractors, as well as incoming payments from clients.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements to ensure internal records match bank activity.
- Digital Documentation: Coordinate the digitization of all financial records; ensure hard copy bills are scanned and correctly organized within shared digital folders.
- Payroll Support: Assist in processing payroll for a diverse team, including site personnel and office staff.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly financial statements (Balance Sheets, P&L) and utilize Microsoft Excel for specialized data management and reporting.
- Team Coordination: Liaise with purchase and accounts personnel to ensure all project-related expenses are captured accurately.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably within the construction or real estate development sector.
- Technical Skills:
- Microsoft Excel: Advanced proficiency (managing complex spreadsheets, formulas, and data organization).
- Software: Experience with accounting software is required. Familiarity with Odoo is a distinct advantage.
- Digital Proficiency: Competency in using cloud-based shared folders and digital document management.
- Education: Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is preferred.
