Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will manage the day-to-day financial recordkeeping, ensuring accuracy and compliance across various accounting functions. Your expertise will support our organization’s financial health by maintaining precise records, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting. Duties

  • Maintain accurate general ledger entries using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure consistency across all financial statements.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
  • Prepare journal entries, conduct balance sheet reconciliation, and ensure adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and governmental accounting requirements.
  • Support budgeting activities by analyzing financial data and preparing reports for management review.
  • Conduct detailed account analysis, double-entry bookkeeping, and general ledger accounting to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Write clear financial reports and summaries to facilitate informed decision-making by leadership.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms; familiarity with Quicken is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, including GAAP and governmental accounting standards.
  • Knowledge of non-profit accounting practices is desirable.
  • Demonstrated expertise in bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, journal entries, and general ledger accounting.
  • Familiarity with technical accounting concepts such as double-entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and account analysis.
  • Ability to perform 10-key typing accurately for data entry tasks.
  • Experience with payroll processing and tax compliance is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Pay: $26.22 - $31.58 per hour
