Wolff Networks dynamic and growing low voltage electrical contractor, and is a leading provider of cutting-edge fiber optic cabling solutions. Based in the Ann Arbor, MI area, we service all of Lower Michigan, Northwest Ohio and the Indianapolis area.

Job Summary

The Bookkeeper will be responsible for processing all accounting and payroll transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and assisting with closing month end.

He or she will also assist with various other clerical and/or reporting tasks, including tracking daily production for billing.

The Bookkeeper will report to and work closely with the Chief Financial Officer.
Key Responsibilities
Record Financial Transactions: Maintain and update all financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, general ledger entries, and financial statements.-
Reconcile Accounts: Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial documents to ensure the accuracy of records. Assist with closing of month end.

Manage Payroll: Process payroll, ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time, and handle related tax filings.

Purchasing and Inventory: Assist with purchasing and Inventory Management tracking, as able

Production tracking and Billing: Assist with recording and reporting on daily production, as well as preparing weekly customer billings

Reporting: Assist in preparing routine and ad hoc analytical reporting, as needed.

Compliance: Assist with regulatory filings, including payroll tax filings, 1099 filings, etc.
Qualifications
Education: Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements.-
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping required; experience in the construction industry is a plus.

Technical Skills: Proficient in QuickBooks accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and/or Google Sheets), and other financial management tools.

Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and data entry.

Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights; strong problem-solving skills.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work in a Team environment.

Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
