Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join a dynamic accounting team in a hybrid work environment that offers a balanced schedule of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility. Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records for multiple accounts
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Assist with month-end closing activities
  • Prepare financial reports, including profit & loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Support payroll processing and sales tax filing requirements
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting

Ideal Background

  • Previous experience in public accounting is required
  • Strong bookkeeping knowledge with experience handling multiple accounts
  • Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks, is preferred

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will help us streamline our financial processes, support budgeting efforts, and produce reliable financial reports that guide strategic decisions. Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities including journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting.
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms to record transactions accurately.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently while maintaining detailed records.
  • Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and governmental accounting requirements.
  • Conduct account analysis and support budgeting activities to aid financial planning.

Skills

  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles and non-profit accounting practices.
  • Knowledge of GAAP standards and technical accounting concepts including double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation.
  • Experience with bank reconciliation, account analysis, and account reconciliation processes.
  • Ability to perform detailed account analysis and prepare clear financial reports.
  • Familiarity with governmental accounting procedures and tax experience is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills including 10 key typing proficiency and attention to detail in account reconciliation tasks.
