Bookkeeper / Accounting

Job Summary
Our family of 3 companies is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Accounting professional to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, support various accounting functions and handle general office duties. Your expertise will help ensure our financial operations run smoothly, compliantly, and efficiently. This position helps manage cash flow, work on tax preparation and many company projects. We work with multiple accounting softwares and contribute to the financial health of our organization, helping with decisions that impact the future growth of our companies.

Duties

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including data entry, journal entries, and account reconciliations using software such as QuickBooks.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy of financial data
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions promptly while maintaining precise records
  • Assist with tax filings in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
  • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures, including balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis
  • Prepare detailed financial reports and summaries for management review
  • Maintain accurate records of debits & credits, journal entries, and account activity in accordance with standard accounting practices
  • Assist with budgeting processes, asset management and provide insights through financial report writing and analysis

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms is essential
  • Strong understanding of GAAP standards and double-entry bookkeeping principles
  • Familiarity with asset management, managerial accounting, financial accounting, project accounting or cost accounting is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting efficiently
  • Knowledge of accounts payable/receivable processes
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills; ability to handle multiple tasks accurately under deadlines
  • Basic proficiency in 10 key typing for data entry accuracy
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, and account analysis
  • Experience with financial report writing and budgeting processes is a plus
  • strong computer skills, specifically excel

Pay: $48,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
