Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper / Front Desk Coordinator to join our local Construction Business. This role combines financial responsibilities with front office support, serving as the first point of contact for clients while maintaining accurate financial records for the company.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping Duties
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Process invoices, payments, and vendor bills
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Maintain accurate financial records using
- QuickBooks Online
- Track job costs and assist with budgeting when needed
- Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end closing
- Follow up on outstanding invoices and ensure timely collections
Front Desk Responsibilities
- Greet clients, vendors, and visitors in a professional manner
- Answer and direct phone calls and emails
- Schedule appointments and coordinate office communications
- Maintain organized filing systems (digital and physical)
- Assist with general administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Experience with QuickBooks Online required
- Strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable
- Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Preferred Experience
- Experience in a construction or contracting environment
- Familiarity with job costing and project-based accounting
