Bookkeeper (part-time)

Local Charter school is in search of an experienced bookkeeper. Position can be flexible for a good candidate, with some hours on-site and remote.

Responsibilities:

• Balance and maintain all accounts, using online access and downloading transactions.
• Collect receipts and record against proper expense account.
• Coordinate bank deposits.
• Prepare financial statements on a monthly basis for the Principle, Executive Director and Board.
• Monitor office expenses.
• Pay vendor invoices and track bank account balances.
• Record Payroll, manage retirement collections and payments to the state, as well as healthcare deductions and payments. File 1099s.
• Track expenses against received grants.
• Assist Executive Director and Board with applying for certain grants.
• Work closely with Auditors for Annual Audit.

Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s Degree

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• At least 3 years of Bookkeeping experience, preferably with Quickbooks.
• Strong Excel and software skills.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.50 per hour
