Role Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper who can manage client accounts in QuickBooks, work with financial data in Excel, and communicate effectively with clients. This role requires strong ownership, independent problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple clients efficiently.
Key ResponsibilitiesBookkeeping (QuickBooks Online)
- Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks Online
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Record and categorize transactions properly
- Prepare monthly financial reports (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Identify and resolve discrepancies independently
- Ensure books are clean, accurate, and up to date
Excel & Data Management
- Use Excel to organize, clean, and analyze financial data
- Prepare reconciliations and supporting schedules
- Work with bulk data (bank exports, transaction listings, etc.)
- Use formulas such as SUMIFS, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables
- Identify inconsistencies between different data sources
Client Communication
- Communicate with clients in clear and professional English
- Request required documents and follow up proactively
- Explain financial reports in a simple and understandable way
- Respond to client queries in a timely and professional manner
Project & Task Management
- Manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver high-quality work
- Continuously improve processes and efficiency
Requirements
- Strong English communication skills (written & verbal)
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online
- Strong Excel skills (data handling, formulas, reconciliations)
- Ability to prepare and interpret financial reports
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Fast learner with attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Experience working with international clients
- Familiarity with tools like Google Sheets or document management systems
