Bookkeeper/Office Manager

Job Summary
We are a mid-sized general contractor currently experiencing rapid expansion. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Office Manager to oversee our office operations and ensure the smooth functioning of daily activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of financial concepts, and experience with accounting software. This role is crucial in maintaining our financial records, managing accounts payable, and supporting the overall administrative functions of the organization.

Duties

  • Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and vendor payments.
  • Perform general ledger reconciliation to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports in accordance with GAAP standards.
  • Utilize accounting software for record-keeping and financial management tasks.
  • Assist in account reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline office procedures and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for both physical and digital documents.
  • Support corporate accounting functions by providing necessary documentation and reports as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all financial activities.

Experience

  • Proven experience as an Office Manager or in a similar administrative role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial concepts, including corporate accounting practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial software applications.
  • Familiarity with financial report writing and general ledger reconciliation processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
