Brand Manager

Job Responsibilities :-


1. Brand Strategy and Management

  • Track brand performance
  • Track market for competitor activity. Review research data and align to brand need
  • Build brand market strategy in conjunction with reporting manager and National marketing Manager
  • Plan and conduct market visits to get an on the ground feel of the brand – visibility ; movement market, channels etc
  • Design and execute the ground level activities through effect coordination & briefing of event organizers
  • Design/launch brand media (ATL/BTL) campaigns with support from media manager and creative agencies-brief concerned parties, manage creative inputs , achieve right media mix and coordinate media campaign launch
  • Digital/Social would be an critical element


2. Sales Market Share and Profitability management

  • Achieve sales, market share and Profit target for the brand.
  • Work with sales to analyse sales and profitability data ; identify opportunities - evaluate alternate channels ; promotions ; incentives etc to enhance sales and market share ; provide inputs for pricing and improving margins


3. Media Management

  • Work with Manager Media Planning to develop the appropriate media plan and media mix for the brand/s
  • Develop and recommend budget for each brand-plan media spends in conjunction with media planning team
  • Plan innovative ways of leveraging media to enhance cost/customer research value


4. Market Research

  • Provide inputs for defining market research strategy, scope & initiatives for the assigned brand.
  • Follow up on research outcomes, use interpretations and recommendations to align with marketing strategy
  • Participate in qualitative research initiatives


5. New Product Development & Launch

  • Constantly review national and international market for flavours and variations within own brand portfolio. Supplement data from market research as an additional input
  • Share ideas and suggestions with marketing team
  • Coordinate with the process and R&D team to track NPD
  • Once approved, track the process of NPD through effective coordination with sales, technical, SCM departments and determine a launch date
  • Undertake all launch related marketing activities
  • Coordinate with Perfetti Italy for packaging design. Liaison with legal department for packaging related compliances and smoothly transfer specifications to SCM


6. MIS & Reporting

  • Collate and analyse MIS /Reporting for own brand/s


Education

Post graduate from top management institute- with specialization in Sales/Marketing


Experience

At least 3-5 years in FMCG sales/marketing. Market research , brand strategy/creative experience is relevant
