POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Brand Marketing, will play a key leadership role in shaping and executing marketing strategies that drive growth, strengthen brand equity, and create best-in-class customer experiences across our multiple brands. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Brand Marketing, this role will take a mobile-first approach to brand and product marketing, ensuring strategies are relevant, scalable, and impactful across diverse consumer touchpoints. The Director will oversee a team of marketers, collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Creative, and Ecommerce, and partner with external agencies to deliver integrated go-to-market programs that grow awareness, attract and retain customers, and successfully commercialize products in alignment with company objectives. This team will directly lead all product marketing efforts and brand/product advertising across Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) channels, Amazon, and other key marketplaces.
CORE FUNCTIONS
Strategic Planning & Growth
- Develop and implement short- and long-term marketing strategies and annual brand plans aligned with business objectives.
- Identify new market opportunities and lead strategies that balance brand building, customer acquisition, and retention.
- Ensure all strategies prioritize mobile-first execution, recognizing digital, social, e-commerce, and marketplaces as primary brand touchpoints.
Brand & Product Marketing Leadership
- Own the development and execution of all product marketing strategies, ensuring effective go-to-market positioning and commercialization of new products.
- Lead brand and product advertising efforts across Amazon, DTC, and other digital/retail marketplaces, driving demand and conversion through performance-focused creative and messaging.
- Ensure consistent brand positioning, storytelling, and identity across all channels and partners.
Integrated Marketing Programs
- Design and execute robust consumer marketing initiatives across advertising (digital, print, broadcast, retail media), social media, websites/e-commerce, events, public relations, and promotions.
- Oversee content development and ensure assets (videos, imagery, messaging, landing pages, mobile content) are optimized for consumer engagement and sales.
- Drive innovation in loyalty programs, digital engagement, and customer experiences.
Cross-Functional & Commercial Collaboration
- Partner with Product Management to inform product positioning, launch strategies, and marketplace readiness.
- Collaborate with Sales and Ecommerce leadership to develop customer-facing programs that drive sell-through, channel growth, and profitability.
- Support channel marketing and retailer initiatives with cohesive brand activations and marketplace-focused campaigns.
- Represent Brand Marketing as an active, collaborative leader across the organization.
- Manage agency and vendor partnerships to maximize creativity, performance, and efficiency.
Performance Measurement & Optimization
- Establish, track, and analyze KPIs for all marketing initiatives, optimizing for ROI and business impact across DTC and Amazon channels.
- Leverage insights, analytics, and consumer research to refine strategies and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Champion test-and-learn approaches to maximize campaign performance and marketplace effectiveness.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing marketing team, providing clear goals, development opportunities, and accountability.
- Build scalable, efficient processes that enable collaboration across teams, brands, and retail/ecommerce channels.
- Foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and data-driven decision making.
- Create and manage marketing budgets, ensuring alignment with business goals and accurate financial reporting.
- Stay current with marketing, digital, mobile, and retail media innovations to keep the brands relevant and competitive.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is required. MBA is preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive marketing experience PLUS a minimum of 4 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in DTC, Amazon, and marketplace marketing/advertising (e.g., Amazon Ads, Sponsored Brands, DSP, retail media).
- Track record of successfully leading product marketing, brand advertising, and digital/ecommerce initiatives.
- Proven experience successfully launching go-to-market strategies for new product launches.
- Experience managing budgets, agencies, and cross-functional marketing projects in complex or matrixed organizations.
- Consumer products or automotive aftermarket experience strongly preferred.
